No other shaft seal on the market offers the features and benefits as the Lasdrop Gen II. Resulting from over 25 years experience in the shaft seal market. Continuing use of top quality materials and workmanship as in all Lasdrop products, the Gen II uses a 316 grade stainless spring to give the seal surfaces pressure to each other. To compensate for any shaft misalignment, the seal ring rides on a unique ball bearing drive system that allows the seal ring to “float” and remain in constant contact with the carbon graphite seal surface preventing any passage of water. The spring and stainless seal ring rotate with the shaft and remain secured in the clamp pressure housing. Dual u-cup seals, which also rotate with the shaft, are seated in the inside of the seal ring and prevent the passage of water at this point. There is virtually no metal to metal contact eliminating any chance of electrolysis. Available for shaft sizes 11/8” – 4”. Accommodating stern tube sizes of up to 8” OD. Metric also available.
